Rongying Chen comes to Buffalo from Guangzhou HuaMei International School, where she taught Chinese language and directed the middle school Chinese language program. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching Chinese as a foreign language from Zhuhai College of Jilin University.


Wei Huanghuang-wei
Chinese Language/Culture Teacher

Wei Huang earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from Nanjing Normal University and a Master’s in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Nanjing University. For the past 12 years, she has been teaching English to secondary school students at Zhenjiang Experimental Middle School.


Ning Mengmeng-ning
Chinese Language/Culture Teacher

Ning Meng has been teaching Chinese for about 10 years at Shanghe Secondary Middle School in Jinan, China. She was awarded first prize in the Jinan Chinese teaching competition in 2012. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Chinese language and literature from Xi’an Shi you University.


Xi Nienie-xi

Nardin Academy

Xi Nie holds a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from Xinjiang Normal University in Urumqi. In China, she has taught at Jimsar No. 2 Middle School and Urumqi No. 11 Senior High School. She also worked for a year as a Confucius Institute Teacher at Kyrgyzstan National University.


Shuping Songsong-shuping

Before coming to Buffalo, Shuping Song taught Chinese as a foreign language at the Second Foreign Language School Affiliated with Shanghai Normal University. She previously taught English at Daqiao Foreign Language School in Changchun, China, and in 2012-13 was a Confucius Institute teacher at Dong-A University in Busan, South Korea. She holds a Master’s degree in Chinese International Education from Northeast Normal University in Changchun.


Shangjiao Sunshangjiao-sun
Chinese Language/Culture Teacher
Lewiston Porter Central School District

Shangjiao Sun previously taught Chinese at No. 1 Elementary School in Lanzhou in Gansu Province. She also spent a year teaching Chinese at the Confucius Institute at Mahasarakhan in Thailand. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in International Chinese Language Education from Northwest Normal University in Lanzhou.


Zhao Wangwang-zhao

Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart

Zhao Wang holds a BA in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language and an MA in Comparative and World Literature from UB’s partner school, Capital Normal University. She comes to Buffalo from Dalian, where she has been teaching Chinese and Math at Binhai Elementary School.


Zuokun Xiong

Prior to teaching in East Aurora, Zuokun Xiong was an English teacher at Kuiguang Middle School in Guilin, China. He holds a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature from Guangxi Normal University, and previously worked for a year as a Confucius Institute teacher at Rakthai Khong Business Administration High School in Thailand.


Yanfang Xu

Prior to teaching in the Orchard Park school district, Yanfang Xu was a professor of History at the University of Jinan in Shandong Province. She holds a master’s degree from the College of Population Studies and Environment at Shandong Normal University and a PhD in History from Shandong Normal University.


Xiaoyan Yang

Xiaoyan Yang comes to Niagara Catholic from Qingyun Experimental Middle School Trans-Pacific Education Center in Suzhou, where she taught English to students in grades 7-10. She holds a bachelors degree in Business English from Nanjing Xiaozhuang University.


Yunqing Yang

Before coming to Buffalo, Yunqing Yang worked as an English teacher for several years at Pixian #1 High School in Chengdu. She holds a Master’s Degree in English Language and Literature from Southwest University.
