Eligibility
All applicants should be citizens or permanent residents of China, Hong Kong SAR (China) or the U.S. at the time of application. CUSP is open to students, including undergraduates in their final year, master’s and doctoral students, and some recent graduates; and scholars who hold a terminal degree or artists with significant professional experience. Please see Eligibility for Students and Scholars on our site for a full description of eligibility policies.

The distribution of 48 possible grants is anticipated to be roughly equal among China and Hong Kong SAR (China) students and scholars traveling to the U.S., and U.S. students and scholars traveling to China and Hong Kong SAR (China).
