The UB Confucius Institute is a collaborative effort of the University at Buffalo, Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban , and Capital Normal University, one of UB’s long-time partners in China.

At UB, the Confucius Institute is housed within the College of Arts and Sciences and collaborates closely with many other departments, programs, schools, and student organizations, including:
Office of the Vice Provost for International Education
Graduate School of Education
Chinese Language Program in the Department of Linguistics
Asian Studies Program
Chinese Student and Scholar Association

In the community, we work hand-in-hand with many public and private schools that host Confucius Institute visiting teachers from China, with schools that have hired teachers in Western New York , and with valuable community educational institutions.
